L. Meldon - Biography

Jeffrey
Meldon graduated from Ohio State University in 1966 and
from Case-Western Reserve University Law School in 1969.
He moved to Gainesville Florida in 1970 and in 1971 established
the Law Offices of Jeffrey Meldon. Since 1971 Mr. Meldon
has represented numerous client's in all kinds of legal
matters in the North Central Florida area as well as other
parts of Florida and the United States. Jeffrey currently
specializes in the areas of Personal Injury, Wrongful Death,
and Criminal Defense. His notable accomplishments include
being Chairman of the Florida Bar Traffic Court Rules Committee
in 1999-2000. He has been the Chairman of the Florida Bar
DUI seminars in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 , 2007 as
well as being appointed chairman for the DUI seminars for
the year 2008 as well as being a member of the committee from 1992 through 2002. Mr. Meldon has also been a frequent
lecturer for the Florida Bar and Lorman Lecture Seminars
teaching other lawyers about the practice of law. He was
appointed to the Florida Bar Rules of Judicial Administrative
Committee in 1999 - 2000. In 2002 Mr. Meldon was appointed
to the Florida Bar Civil Procedure Rules Committee which
drafts new rules for personal injury and wrongful death
cases and served on that committee until 2007.
Jeffrey
Meldon has been a long time member of the Florida Justice Association and the and the American Association for Justice
which are groups primarily devoted to representing people
who have been injured in accidents as well as the families
of people who have been killed in accidents. He regularly
attends seminars around the state of Florida as well as
in other parts of the United States regarding personal injury
and wrongful death in order to keep up to date on all of
the developments in this area of law. He has developed a
team of specialists devoted to helping people with Accidents
& Injury claims as well as cases involving Wrongful
Death.

Tom
L. Copeland - Biography

Tom
L. Copeland attended college at the University
of Central Florida in Orlando. He graduated with high honors with a
Bachelors degree in Public Administration in 1983.
He attended Samford University's Cumberland School of Law
in Birmingham, Alabama. While in law school, Tom participated
in Cumberland's well known trial advocacy program and he
was on the Board of Directors of the Henry Upson Sims Moot
Court program. He graduated and entered private practice
in Florida in 1986. Tom worked for two general practice
law firms before opening his own office in rural Alachua
County in 1991. His primary areas of practice have been
criminal defense and civil litigation. In January
2002, Tom merged his practice with Jeffrey Meldon
& Associates, P.A. in Gainesville, Florida. The firm's
area's of concentration are Plaintiff's Personal Injury
and Criminal Defense.
